Friends, family and wider community, I reach out today with an urgent call for help!    


My dear friend Colleen is losing her husband to one of the most incurable cancers known to mankind, Anaplastic Thyroid Cancer and she needs your financial help to keep the heat and lights on while she is out of work spending these final days by his side.  Please don’t let Allen pass on carrying this heavy burden that he failed his wife whom he promised to always take care of! By giving, you will bring some much needed peace and positivity to the “Homestead” Allen and Colleen have spent the last 10 years building!  

One year ago, Allen and Colleen had their lives turned upside down after receiving a terminal cancer diagnosis.  Despite doctors grim 2-month prognosis, they decided that dying wasn’t an option and they were going to beat the cancer!  They were convinced they would be that 1%!  Within days of his diagnosis, Allen began an extremely aggressive treatment plan. Over the course of just a few months, Allen underwent surgery, chemotherapy and 6 weeks of radiation! Against all odds, Allen miraculously started to show signs of recovery and in no time was right back where he loves to be, horseback in the wilderness with his wife by his side!  Unfortunately, the cancer came back with a vengeance and within a very short few weeks Allen went from being horseback to Hospice Care!


As you can imagine, the loss of Allen’s income for over a year now has left a mountain of past due bills for Colleen and despite Colleen’s tireless efforts, her income alone is just not enough to keep her afloat each month let alone catch up on past due bills.


 
Each day Colleen wakes up and has to Choose; Do I stay home to be with and take care of my dying husband or do I go to work to keep my job secure and to at least pay the land payment so that when my husband is gone I am not homeless!
