It’s going to be a long road ahead for our sweet Colleen and her precious family. This is her twelfth day in Intensive Care. We still don’t know what the outcome of her medical condition will be. If you do not know Colleen and her family well, then you may not know how special she is. A wife, mother of three ages 5, 8, and 12, a teacher, a daughter, a sister, a co-worker and a tremendous friend. Always putting everyone else first, Colleen is constantly thinking of others – working late hours and lending a hand.
Now it’s our turn to help her. Test after test we still search for answers about her medical condition. In an effort to surround Colleen and her family in this time of need, we are asking for help with what will be a mountain of medical expenses.

After a long night of being sick- and in significant pain- Daniel took Colleen to the ER Friday morning August 23, 2019. It seemed she had an intestinal infection, but by Saturday her condition had worsened. With a fever over 103, it was apparent she had gone septic and her blood pressure was starting to drop dangerously low.
She was sent by Halo flight to an ER in another city where she would undergo emergency surgery to remove a section of inflammation in her colon. This seemed to be the root of the problem. She would also have a blood transfusion during surgery and put under sedation off and on for days to come. Her long fight to recovery has just begun.
Although going through kidney failure, being on a ventilator, having a stomach tube and with an erratic heart rate, Colleen is a fighter. She will fight to get well. She will fight to go home. She will fight for her babies because they need her. We all need her.
We will share more as we learn more. Many are praying and everyone is extremely grateful for any – and all - support you can give. Your continued prayers mean so much to this family and to all of us who love them!
From our hearts to yours,
Thank You!
