Hello everyone,

My name is Cassandra (Cassie) Wiggins-Dowdell and I am Colleen Dowdell's only child. As many of you know, my mother recently passed on March 10, 2024.

My mother was struggling with many crippling illnesses and frequent hospital stays leaving a lot of her personal matters up to me. However, as many of you know she was a prideful woman. She wanted to be the one to help others but rarely asked for it herself. When she passed, I found out she was severely behind on many of her bills and also had no life insurance, leaving all of her end-of-life care costs and debt solely to me.

The debts that I have to pay for her are way more than I can afford, especially due to my recent unemployment. It’s hard to catch up on the bills that my mother was too sick to remember as well as giving her the proper memorial that she deserves.

I was hoping to be able to cover these costs because just like my mom, I also hate asking for help, but every time I turn around there’s a new cost that’s putting me further into debt or my other family who resided with her at risk due to falling behind on bills. I tried my best to cover it all which is why it has taken me so long to set this up. Anything that you can donate would be greatly appreciated and everything donated is going straight to the debts that my mother acquired or towards her cremation and spreading of her ashes.
