Colleen and Sean's kidney transplant campaign

Donation protected

Sean and Colleen are on track and the timing couldn't be better. The kidney transplant is on schedule for the morning of March 8th at 5:30 am at the transplant unit of the Methodist Hospital in San Antonio.

Our campaign:

This campaign is to raise money for Colleen's loss of income while she is in recovery from donating one of her kidneys to Sean. We are preparing that she may need to be off for the 4-6 weeks that is recommended for a full recovery.

Colleen is an independent business owner, meaning if she isn't working, she doesn't get paid. Fortunately, Colleen's health care will be covered by Sean's policy.

Our story:
Beginning in October 2018  Sean and Crystal began the journey of searching for the perfect donor with the right genetic make-up and someone who would be able to pass a litany of tests needed to screen to be Sean's donor.  It is understood from statistics that a Live Donor is the best case scenario, along with the sense of urgency knowing of Sean's small percentage of kidney function and wanting to bypass dialysis.

A "what's been going on" catch up conversation in early November  concluded with Colleen eagerly and without hesitation saying "I'll give a kidney to Sean!" Some tears were obviously shed! Since this day, Colleen's determination, self motivation, and her tenacity of having countless health screens lead to to the news we've been praying for; on January 31st, Colleen called and said "God is good, I've been cleared"!

All of us who know and love Colleen see and feel her faithful and unwavering devotion to God's will.  Brian, Colleen's husband said "once her mind is made up, that's it"!
