On May 6th, 2023, after a night shift, Rob passed away unexpectedly in his sleep. This is a huge loss to the entire Melrose Wakefield Community, and all that knew and loved him.

Robert Dumas worked as a staff nurse, charge nurse and night nursing supervisor at Melrose Wakefield Hospital. He was an exceptional nurse and team player. He oriented many nurses that came after him. He was kind, patient and always willing to help. He was loved by all of those that got the chance to know him. Rob was always willing to work extra and make switches when coworkers needed it. No matter what the issue, Rob was willing to jump in and help. Rob was more than just a coworker to many. He took the time to get to know everyone he worked with and create friendships.

Outside of work, Rob lived and shared a home with long term girlfriend Talia Silverstone. Talia is also a nurse and works in Maternity at Melrose Wakefield. During this trying and difficult time for Talia, a lot of friends, family and coworkers have been asking what they can do to help. As a community the best thing we can do is allow Talia that time off work to grieve and heal. With that being said, this fund is for Talia as she will be taking some time off of work to process and heal. These funds will help support her and help her in her search for a new home. Anything is greatly appreciated
