Collapsible powered wheelchair

Hi everyone, I'm Julie, I've been using an NHS hydraulic neuro-spine chair for over a decade. I've just moved to North Wales from West Yorkshire and while their public transport system says it's wheelchair accessible, it actually isn't for my type of wheelchair, as it cannot manage curbs, needs a long ramp length & weighs 22 stone. Three of the bus stops I have to use to get around are not accessible for my chair.

Obviously I have contacted the council & the privately outsourced bus coming but they can't do much quickly and haven't always got ability to change the geography of the area which is an access issue I've been used to for years previously living in West Yorkshire.

Anyway to cut a long story short, I can fix all my access issues by getting a new type of powered wheelchair, which I can then also get adapted to suit my needs & support my head & spine properly. Unfortunately my NHS wheelchair prescription does not cover a Collapsible, Lightweight wheelchair which has left me with no other choice than to set up this go fund me page.

In the past I've collected & donated for others to be able to buy suitable wheelchairs to help with their independence. I feel a little uncomfortable and very awkward, to say the least, that now it seems to be my turn to ask for help, but here we are all living in a Country that's suffers with terrible infrastructure and access problems & an nhs & social care system that's virtually none existent.
