DAVID JOHN PETERS -FUNERAL & GIFT OF LIFE COSTS
Donation protected
My brother, David John Peters, passed away suddenly on February 19th 2021, at the age of 38. He was a father, life-changer, and the person to give away his last dollar if it meant helping someone in need.
When COVID hit, support groups, churches, and gyms closed their doors. These lifelines were no longer available to people coping with substance abuse and mental health problems. David filled the need with a few taps of his phone, starting an on-line support group NEVER GIVE UP ( BIG CHANGE) on FaceBook. This helped anyone dealing with life issues in a nonjudgemental format that in just one year has grown to more than 12,000 followers from every state and around the world. It is unbelievable the number of lives he helped with his daily videos and encouragement. His death shocked and saddened many.
David hoped to one day establish housing with the resources needed to help people transition from prison. He volunteered to support prison reform and mental health task forces and become a certified recovery coach.
Loud, funny, energetic, and big-hearted, Dave devoted his life to these causes because he struggled for years with the same demons. He paid dearly for his addiction, missing out on precious time with his daughter, who he loved more than life itself. His face glowed when he could be with her.
Thankfully, David's is a story of redemption. After he was ready and able to enter a rehabilitation program, he turned his life around and found purpose: to help and give hope to others. He was a man on a mission, inspired by his daughter to Never Give Up.
Donations will go to help with unexpected end of the life costs and to provide support and education costs expenses in the future for his daughter Marissa. God Bless you all, always Level Up, and Never Give Up!
