The money fundraised will be used for buying supplies, food, equipment, my transportation to and from South Africa, to renovate schools buildings, help build wells to provide clean drinking water, and to build rest rooms as well as other facilities for children in need. Any additional money raised will go directly to support this project so we can do even more!
Things the students will being doing to help the children consist of teaching core subjects as well as provide well thought out, engaging activities, and providing care to orphaned newborns and infants.
Benefits for the children of South Africa: This experience for them only comes annually from our school, so they get very excited when they hear that we're coming to see them. They see us as friends and mentors. The connections we make with these children are mutually cherished. They are very grateful for the help they get.
This trip means a lot to me, because I went on a similar community service trip during my Junior year of high school to the Dominican Republic to build homes in an underdeveloped part of the community. The experience gained by the group to speak and interact with children and people from that country was surreal. An opportunity like this is something that will shape my life and character forever. I'm excited for another opportunity to improve the lives of the children we'll visit in South Africa.
The date I need these funds by are March 1st. Thank you in advance for any and all who donate to this cause. I will be very grateful for your kindness and love towards these children. I'm very excited to have this opportunity to give back to the world. I know I speak for the children as well when I say thank you to everyone, again!
