Colin’s Medical Expenses

Hi, Faye here. It feels really weird doing this, but many people have asked if we have a GoFundMe page for Colin.

On Monday January 7th at 8:30am my husband Tom, my daughter Kiefer and our little dog Colin were involved in a serious car accident outside Kiefer’s school.

Our dear little Colin seemed to take most of the impact in his car seat.

Our amazing Anneliese school staff rushed him to Laguna Beach Animal Hospital, where he underwent tests and X-rays. It was found he had internal bleeding and his blood count was deteriorating and he was on the verge of crashing.

We were then transferred to Blue Pearl Emergency Hospital in a critical condition.

At 10:30pm we received a call no one would ever want to receive. They stated that he was listless, unable to use his legs and his eyes were glazed. They suspected brain trauma, on top of the bleed, low blood pressure and low oxygen levels. They put him on brain trauma medication to hopefully bring down the swelling.

This morning 1/8/2024 they called to let us know that he was a little more stable and they think the bleed was slowing, but he is still critical in the intensive care unit, fighting for his life.

We are setting up this page as a few people have asked how they can support him with his treatment.

We appreciate all the love, prayers and positive energy everyone is sending his way. He is our little fighter.

Both Laguna Beach Animal Hospital and Blue Pearl have been incredible in regards to the round the clock care they have given him.

Colin is our world, a very special dog and we want to give him the best fighting chance of survival.
