Colin Reap, 22 of Scranton passed unexpectedly at home Saturday night October 9th. Colin was born May 17, 1999. He was the youngest child of Kathleen Kanavy Reap and the late Kevin Patrick Reap. Colin attended Robert Morris and St Clare/St Paul schools after moving to Green Ridge with his mother and sister. He later went on to attend Scranton Prep high school, graduating in 2017. He previously attended the University of Scranton and was currently enrolled at Lackawanna College. Colin grew up with a love of sports, especially baseball. The New York Yankees were his favorite team. As a member of the 11/12 year old All Star team for Green Ridge Little League, Colin hit a home run in the sectionals championship game. The friendships he made on the ball field lasted his entire life. Colin was employed as a lifeguard for the City of Scranton. Colin was an amazing son, brother, cousin, and friend. His laugh was contagious and his jokes were witty and quick. Colin was wise beyond his years, he had a great zest for life and loved his family, especially his mom. He was a compassionate and caring soul. Colin was preceded in death by his father Kevin Patrick Reap; sisters, Grace Ann and Jessie; a brother Kevin Patrick Jr.; Maternal grandparents, Charles and Marlene Kanavy; and Paternal GrandfatherJames Reap. In addition to his mother, Colin is survived by Paternal Grandmother Ann Reap, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Any donations to help his family cover funeral and related expenses would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements are being handled by the Vanston and James Funeral Home.
