Colin Patterson Park Bench

On August 17th 2023, Colin was in an accident riding his electric scooter with no helmet. He was rushed to immediate brain surgery, and then we sat by his side for 10 days while he did best to recover. Unfortunately on August 27th 2023, Colin succumbed to his injuries and passed with his mom, dad, sister, brother and step mom by his side.

Colin was funny, thoughtful, sarcastic, and so many more things, but most importantly he was a fighter. He didn't have an easy life, but he would have said that he was here for a good time, not a long time.

Colin is greatly missed by his many family and friends, and we want to give everyone a place to remember him and sit with him. We plan on putting the bench in Kildonan Park, a place he visited often to spend time with his best friend, Justin Conroy. We have requested to have Colin's bench as close to Justin's as possible, as I know they would both want it.

Any donations are greatly appreciated. Any additional funds received above the cost of the bench and plaque will be donated to The Manitoba Brain Injury Association in Colin's name.
