Hello friends and family.

This past Wednesday, my brother Colin drove me to Oakland for a quick sibling trip before returning home to L.A. after the Thanksgiving holiday. As he unloaded our luggage in front of the hotel in broad daylight, he was ROBBED! The thief took his hard-case camera box from the trunk of his car. Colin managed to try to grab it back, but the culprit jumped into a vehicle and the accomplice began to drive away so Colin had to let go.

The police pulled footage of the entire robbery from the hotel security camera, but the car had no license plates. Unfortunately, everything that was taken will likely never be seen again.

We are so thankful that no one was hurt. And while Colin is the one that continues to repeat, "it's okay. They were just things" (He's eternally grateful his pup Dave was not taken), I know that he is devastated to have lost his entire collection of cameras, vintage lenses, and other gear that he relies on to run his passion business of videography.

While I know it's unreasonable to hope we could raise enough money to replace the items he lost, I thought we might at least be able to help him out with buying a new camera so that he can continue the work that he loves and start the process of building back his collection.
