Colin Butler was killed driving down to Austin while working on a commercial. I was working with him when it happened. All the crew is devestated, as I know all the film community in Dallas is.
The amount of calls and texts asking "how can I help" was astounding. I wish I had a better answer, but this is the best way I know we can help the family.
Colin was a relatively new member of the film community of Dallas. For those that knew Colin from work. We knew him to be a sweet, funny, goofy young man. He was a hard worker and eager to help anyone who wanted it on set.
No parent should have to bury their child, Unfortunately Colin's parent's have to do just that. This fund will go directly to his parents. I will meet them for the first time tomorrow, under incredibly difficult circumstances.
This is my first time doing this but I will find out how to transfer control of this account to ensure all money goes directly to the family.
