Colentha Denise Wilson’s Medical & Hardship Fund

Donation protected

Dear family and friends of Colentha Denise Wilson, it is with a sad heart that we share that Colentha suffered a stroke on Tuesday evening, April 23, 2024. Colentha was transported to Piedmont Hospital on where she has been in the Intensive Care Unit (I.C.U.). On next week, Colentha will be transported to a Rehabilitation Facility in metro Atlanta for an initial 14 days. If she progresses enough, and if the doctors grant permission, then, we are going to try to relocate her closer to our hometown of Belle Glade, Florida.

Colentha has always been such a dedicated Woman of God, daughter, sister, friend, Beta Alpha AKA Spring 95 Linesister, Soror, and a FAMU Rattler to many. She's always the first to volunteer her time, service, and talents to help plan an event or travel, create a booklet, design a program, or contribute in any way possible to lend her talents. So, now that she needs help, we are asking for any monetary donation, no matter how big or small, to help care for Colentha's medical and financial needs.

We will also have to pay her rent for the next few months to give us time to decide what to do with all of her belongings in her apartment in metro Atlanta. We still work and live in Belle Glade, Florida, so we will have loss of wages and travel expenses to get back and forth from South Florida to metro Atlanta to the Rehabilitation Facility to make sure everything is going okay with Colentha's rehab/recovery.

This is, of course, a very unexpected event for our family, and it is going to be a long road to recovery before Colentha is back to normal or able to live on her own again.

Colentha has such a strong will to survive. She's battled lupus, a kidney replacement, and other medical issues over the years, but her strong faith in God and will to survive has kept her with us. This is another TEST to add to her Testimony, but with time and prayer, we know Colentha will overcome this obstacle.

We appreciate all of your calls, texts, love, prayers, outpouring of support, and any amount of money you are able to donate to help us with all of the expenses we will incur during this ordeal.

Thank you and stay blessed. ~ The Family of Colentha Denise Wilson.
