On Thursday, March 20th, Coleman fell from a 10 ft ladder and was urgently rushed to the ER. There was compartment swelling in his leg and emergency surgery became crucial to avoid loss of limb. They rushed him by ambulance to an orthopedic surgeon and found that Coleman suffered from a tibial plateau fracture in several places. Thankfully, he was admitted to the OR immediately, and they began the first of many surgeries that lie ahead.

We are currently in the ICU, with an external fixator on his left leg with vacuum-assisted closure eagerly awaiting Monday for his 2nd surgery. There will be a long road ahead with surgeries, physical therapy, and getting full function of his leg back in order to resume normal life and return to work. Please, please pray for comfort, for the hands that are caring for him, and send him all your best wishes. It is heart-wrenching to see him in this excruciating pain. *Update* Coleman's surgical team performed his 3rd surgery this morning and it went well! They surgically realigned the broken fragments and fixed with plates to promote proper healing. Following his second surgery we were informed that the bone was crushed, not just fractured. Due to this, Coleman will need to keep the external fixator on his leg for an additional six weeks. His healing process may look a little different than we initially anticipated, but we have so much more to be thankful for!
