At the age of 32, married with two children, you never think that your life will change instantly, but that is what happened to Chad Coleman.
Chad began having health issues that led him into a whirlwind of tests and procedures. On July 22nd, doctors discovered a large tumor in his rectum. Things progressed quickly, and it was determined that he has stage 4 Adenocarcinoma rectal cancer which has metastasized and spread to other parts of his body. An MRI and PET scans showed that the lesions found on his liver and lungs are also cancerous. The original tumor has grown past the rectal wall and has wrapped itself around his rectum and prostate. It has also spread to the lymph nodes in his pelvis.
Chad and his family are ready to fight cancer. They know how to attack health issues since their twin daughters were born prematurely and have had numerous health problems. Chad's wife, Ashley, battles every day with the side effects of Hashimoto disease.
COVID has also thrown a monkey wrench into the situation. Ashley is a beautician and is going to have to be very careful with clients due to Chad's treatment, which will cause him to be immunocompromised. Also, the girls will be homeschooled because of their dad and one of the twin's reoccurring health situations.
If you have ever dealt with cancer, you know that life doesn't stop just because you have been given a cancer diagnosis. Life keeps going, bills keep coming in, and now you have to add medical expenses. The best way for us to help this family is to bring them relief to the costs that they will incur. With high deductibles and co-pays that their health insurance dictates, monetary hardships will be placed upon them.
Please prayerfully consider helping our friends face this diagnosis that was not of their choosing.
Joshua 1:9 Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid, do not be discouraged; the Lord, your God, is with you.
