A decade ago, there was once a nursing student who had nothing but God and her hopes of finishing her nursing course to be able to help her family and make a difference to humanity. A beautiful, kind and caring stranger named Ms. Eva Tomandao, a dedicated Filipino nurse, showed her genuine kindness by helping that nursing student's single mother to find a stable job, to raise her 3 kids. Indeed, her acts of kindness made a huge impact in our lives and had served as a bridge in attaining that dream into reality - a registered nurse. Sadly, after years of battling cancer Ma'am Eva passed away this year 2024 leaving behind her daughter Coleen Tomandao Sasis, who is still in her fight in finishing her final year as a 4th year nursing student at University of Perpetual Help - Binan Laguna, Philippines. She is so close to her dream of becoming a registered nurse, yet so far because of her current financial turmoil.

Hi, my name is Loujane, and I am fundraising for Coleen T. Sasis (ma'am Eva Tomandao's daughter), to help her have a CHANCE to finish her nursing course this year. Coleen is a 4th year nursing student, an orphan, who is at the verge of stopping her final year of nursing course this September 14, 2024 due to financial constraint after the recent passing of her mother Eva due to cancer. 2 days ago, I met Coleen via messenger. She told me that she messaged me because she remembered ma'am Eva, sharing the challenges I faced and by God's grace triumph in becoming a nurse. In her sharing, I was moved to tears knowing that I was once in her situation and it is only by God's grace through the people who showed genuine kindness like her mother (ma'am Eva) at that time that I was able to overcome that once, one a big ordeal in my life. Thus, I decided to start a gofundme page for Coleen to help her achieve her dream of becoming a nurse. Coleen is a hardworking, dedicated and determined student who is doing her best to make it in a world with very few resources and no money. At present, Coleen is making crouchette craft which she sells for her to have an allowance and borrows money from her classmates to make her ends meet while in school. She also asked financial help from her relatives, however, no one can support her financially in making it through her final straw in 4th year, as a nursing student. As much as she want to do a part time job, the demands of her nursing course as a 4th year student made it not feasible for her because of her hospital duties rotations. Coleen desperately wants and is still fighting her chance to become a NURSE, a vocation and profession she viewed that will help her serve humanity and difference in her life and others. Coleen NEEDS A FIGHTING CHANCE in this life - Thru Education. Indeed, education is a great equalizer. Thus, I am raising this fundpage for Colin to give her a chance in life in letting her dream of becoming a nurse turn into reality. At present, Coleen needs to settle her tuition fee with an amount of 30,000 (430 pounds) Philippine pesos by September 14, 2024 for her to continue and take her preliminary examination in her nursing course. Her total tuition fee for this 4th year semester is 80,000 php (1215 pounds) which is shown in the assessment form in her gofundme page. The remaining amount from this gofundme page once her tuition fee is settled will be allocated for her allowance. We will be posting updates for Coleen's current education updates.

I've created this gofundme page to help Coleen have that fighting chance for her education. A simple act of kindness, but it can ripple out and create an ocean of prosperity in the world. I was once and is still a recipient of God's grace and kindness, thus if we can share one small act of kindness in our way for Colin and pass it forward then we can make a difference in her life, and pass this kindness forward to the people she will be looking after as a nurse in the future, in God's grace. This is Coleen's big chance, and we're making it possible.
