Cole became seriously sick last week. On Thursday he was sending texts that did not make sense, so a friend alerted his mother. She went to check on Cole and he had to be rushed to the hospital. Cole was sent to the ICU extremely sick and intubated. On Friday the doctors determined that a virus caused an infection in his brain (Encephalitis) that resulted in swelling and bleeding.

Cole is still in the hospital fighting this infection but making improvements. The infection affected both sides of his brain which is causing some confusion and memory loss. He needs to be on an IV for 3 weeks as well as taking seizure meds. Cole moved out of the ICU to a stroke ward due to his seizures and they are working to get his fevers down before he can be released to a Rehab facility.

It is going to be a long road of recovery for Cole. He will face extensive hospital costs, rehab, and Cole will be off of work for an extended period of time.
