Cole Stoner's Medical Journey

Donation protected
My son Cole has been suffering from a medical diagnosis dating back from May 2022. He was diagnosed with Stage Four Avascular Necrosis in both of his hips. Avascular Necrosis is an uncurable disease that is caused by the lack of blood supply to your bones. His left hip started with a hairline fracture last year and is now fully collapsed, which he will need a hip replacement to correct. His right hip is well on its way to being like the left causing him to barely be able to walk. He is in a wheel chair now and has to have 24 hour care so he doesn't fall and hurt himself even more. Cole suffered from a broken arm last year before his diagnosis and did not have insurance at that time. While waiting for insurance and his arm to heal, he was diagnosed with his condition. He had to wait until January 2023 for insurance. His orthopedic surgeon was going to do both his arm surgery and hip surgery (on the fractured hip first) at the same time, which MOST DRS WILL NOT DO, and of course his insurance didn't cover the surgery center where his Dr does his surgeries for his hip so the surgery center canceled that surgery in March. So, he had to be referred to a different Dr for his hips. That doctor would NOT touch his hips without his arm being healed first. May 2023 he got his arm surgery and that surgery did not stick, so he still has a broken arm and still no surgery on his hips over a year later. After pleading with his primary Dr and already pleading with the 2nd referred orthopedic surgeon and not getting anywhere he has been referred to a 3rd orthopedic surgeon at the end of August. He has tried to keep working during all this time by riding on an electic scooter at work to keep up insurance and provide for his family, however Cole can no longer work and hasn't worked since mid June 2023. He has had to file for disability and we all know how long that can take. His wife has not worked in 8 years and has had to get a job, but she can not even come close to providing the incoming they have been use to living. He has been their sole provider. They had to cancel his recent appointment to the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida to see if he qualifies for stem cell transfers because they dont have the funds for the 5 hour drive. The bills are adding up, behind on mortgage and they have used every last resource they have. They have now opened their home up to two high school girls (sisters) who are in need of a good home. Cole and Tinley are the most giving and caring people I know. Struggling themselves they look past that to help these two girls. Their generosity is so amazing. I know they would never ask for help themselves, so I'm going to do it for them. Every penny will go to help them pay any medical bills, traveling for medical care, paying bills or whatever necessities they need.
