Cole Hoot's Traumatic Brain Injury Fund
Donation protected
On March 16, Cole Hoot, the fiancé of my niece, Candice Bessler, was in a very serious car accident on his way home. His car flipped and both he and the passenger had to be airlifted to a neurological ICU at a level one trauma center about 1.5 hours from home. He suffered from a traumatic brain injury and quite a few bone fractures, but he is getting the best care he can get. Candice has been staying with Cole in the ICU so right now neither of them is getting a paycheck. As he is in the ICU visitors are limited but Cole’s immediate family - Jeanne, Graham, and Dahlys - are also staying close to the hospital and with Cole as much as they are allowed. Cole does not have health insurance and his medical bills were already mounting with the nearly $50,000 helicopter transport before he even arrived at the hospital. The experienced medical staff at the hospital think Cole just needs more time for his brain and body to heal. His recovery will be in terms of months, not days or weeks. We appreciate anything you can donate to help him continue to get the best of care and help Candice be able to afford daily expenses while she navigates this storm. If you are not able to donate, we are also very grateful for prayers of strength, healing, and encouragement for Cole, Candice, and both of their families.
