Coldwater Teachers Paper Drive for Students
Donation protected
Because of the COVID-19 crisis, the state of Michigan faces a budget crisis, including school funding. In the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school years, Coldwater Community Schools are expected to lose approximately $4 million in revenue and will face severe budget cuts. To help offset the devastating budget cuts, the Coldwater Education Association (CEA) has set up this fund to help the students in our school district. Our goal is to raise $36,000, which is about the cost of buying printing paper for our kids in the school year. To help our local merchants, the CEA will also make this purchase through a local company. Every little bit helps. With a $36,000 cushion, the school district could buy more Chromebooks, textbooks, or help maintain the bus fleet. A common phrase in education is “do what’s best for kids.” Through your donation, you can do exactly that. We hope to meet our goal by August 1. Thank you!
