Meet Colby.

Colby is only 2 years old, but he has already spent his whole life proving that he's stronger than anyone expected.

He was born with Swimmer Syndrome, and one of his legs could never be fully corrected. We were told he might never walk normally. But Colby didn't care about the odds. He learned to run, play, climb, and live life just like every other cat, honestly, faster than most of them.

At 4am Saturday morning, everything changed.

Colby suddenly became critically ill and was rushed to the emergency vet, where we found out his ureter was completely blocked and his bladder was dangerously full. He was unable to urinate and without treatment, he would not survive.

I was given three options:
Hospitalization and treatment costing $3,000–$5,000.
A shorter procedure to catheterize and drain his bladder for $1,200.
Or euthanasia.

I was devastated. I sat there crying, explaining that I only had $800 in my bank account, but I was willing to spend every dollar I had if it meant saving him.

Thankfully, the staff showed incredible compassion and discounted the procedure enough for me to bring him home that same day. For a moment, it felt like we had gotten our miracle. By Sunday, Colby seemed like himself again. He was eating, moving around, and acting like a completely different cat.

Then Monday came.
The blockage returned.
Our vet explained that repeated catheterizations can cause damage and irritation, and that surgery is now strongly recommended to save his life long term. We also discovered Colby has two bacterial infections, which may be contributing to everything happening.

Right now, we are buying time with antibiotics and temporary treatment, but without surgery, we may run out of options.

Anyone who knows Colby knows he is the sweetest boy. He has already overcome so much in his short life and continues to fight harder than anyone could imagine.

I am asking for help because I cannot do this alone anymore.

Every donation, share, and prayer means more than I can explain. We just want to give Colby the chance to keep living the life he fought so hard for.

Thank you for reading his story and loving our sweet boy with us.
