Please join listeners of the Horse Radio Network as we raise funding to cover feed and health care for twelve months for two of the Colby's Army therapy horses. Colby's Army helps people with life challenges through outreach and interactions with animals and nature. They have the best horses:
Tessie is a 20-year-old Belgian/Quarter horse cross and a former PATH Region 5 Equine of the Year. She is also a former Amish driving horse. She is "The Queen" and takes really good care of her herd.
Quincy is a 22-year-old registered solid colored Appaloosa and used to be a three-day event and 4-H horse. He is "Mr. Perfect" and helps teach participants and volunteers alike.
Lex is a 17-year-old TB/Shire/Belgian cross who loves to put his front feet in the 100-gallon water trough and tip it over. He was a trail horse before arriving at Colby's Army.
Spike is a new member of the herd. He is a 17-year-old registered Quarter Horse who was trail ridden all over the country, and is loving all of the great volunteer attention!
The award-winning Colby's Army therapeutic riding program helps people age five and up learn needed life skills, and also provides a community in which participants can develop friendships, and participate in events such as parades, community suppers, volunteer projects, and special projects.
Colby's Army and the Horse Radio Network will be hosting a way cool songwriter concert headlined by the amazing Templeton Thompson on Wednesday, August 4 at 7:00 PM central. The concert will be broadcast live on several Facebook pages including the Horse Radio Network, Horses in the Morning, Colby's Army, and Templeton Thompson, with more to come.
