Please help as we support Colby, Kelsee & their kids as Colby has been battling frightening health issues recently. Early last week he had a small stoke which took many days - and many tests - in the hospital to figure out. Doctors were finally able to diagnose him with fungal meningitis. After being discharged barely 24 hrs, he suffered another stroke and is now back in the hospital.

Current update: doctors are suspecting Valley Fever could be causing the meningitis and now doing more testing to confirm.

As many of you know, Colby Ryan recently decided to jump full-time into building his Scar Wars podcast and YouTube channel. Being a brand new entrepreneur - especially with a young family - is extremely stressful. Starting out with huge medical bills is beyond what Colby and his family need right now. (I mean, can the guy just catch a break?! He's been through enough!)

UPDATE Saturday July 26, 2025:

Doctors have continued testing and this morning they found high protein in Colby’s spinal tap. Considering all the symptoms he has, this confirms a diagnosis of Fungal Meningitis caused by Valley Fever. This is unbelievably rare - happens to less than 1% of people. It means the fungal meningitis spread to his brain causing the mini stroke and prolonged, extreme symptoms.

Recent CAT scans also found a mass in Colby’s right lung - likely caused by the Valley Fever - meaning it spread into his bloodstream and into his brain. It’s systemic, so they are putting him on a high dose of anti-fungal medicine for months to a year.

This is what we know so far and where we’re at right now. Ray and other law enforcement officers visited this morning... and the good news is, Colby is hopefully going home today! Lots of rest is needed for healing.
