Colby Dunlap Medical Emergency Fund

This medical emergency fund has been set up for those who’d like to help Colby during this difficult time. For those not aware of all the details, the context and details below were provided by his family: 

On April 16th, Colby was in a life-threatening motorcycle accident when he was broadsided by another vehicle without warning. 

Upon admission to Carolina Medical Center in Charlotte, he had internal bleeding, two collapsed lungs, broken shoulder blade, 12 broken ribs, compound fracture of the left femur, tibia, and fibula.  

In the first few days of intensive care, he was extubated, feeding tube removed, central line out, foley catheter removed, and chest tubes removed. The leg fractures have been repaired with rods and screws. Thankfully, there are no signs of neurological damage....so he is the same old Colby!!! Last week he was moved from trauma ICU to a regular ICU. 

Once released from the hospital, he will have to live in a rehab center for weeks to come. Undoubtedly, there will be issues with income. Colby resides in Newton, NC with his wife Laura and their two sons.
