Hi friends, family, and colleagues!

I am fundraising to help Amberly support her family during her son Colby’s cancer treatment.

Colby was diagnosed with T-Cell ALL (acute lymphoblastic leukemia) in April of 2021 and will have 3 and a half years of treatments until he is cancer free. This means at least a year and a half to go with cancer treatments.

Colby has to go to the hospital every Monday, has countless needle sticks, takes many medications, and undergoes chemotherapy treatments all while keeping the biggest smile on his face. Like his momma, he is the perfect example of positivity and inspiration.

Colby LOVES school and it devastates him when his ANC (absolute neutrophil count) is too low to attend (it has to be above 500 to attend school and be around people and above 750 to have treatment). He has spent the last two weeks in isolation as his ANC was 0.

As you can imagine, this has proven to be a very difficult time for Amberly, a single mom who works hard every day to do the best for her children. She comes to work everyday with a positive attitude and a smile on her face. Her ethic and drive are absolutely amazing, even through the challenges on having a child battling cancer.

Amberly is not only a coworker but a dear friend and is such a wonderful person. She is the most beautiful and kind person and anyone lucky enough to know her understands exactly what I mean.
