At City of London Academy Southwark, we’re proud to be part of the Southwark community, and we believe in helping those in need close to home and abroad. Recently, Jamaica was devastated by Hurricane Melissa, and we wanted to do something to support the recovery efforts.

To raise funds, we’ve launched a GoFundMe campaign in partnership with a local Southwark charity, Get Rid of It, which works to support communities in need. To make this effort even more special, our Vice Principal, Mr Collins, will be undertaking a sponsored bike ride from Jamaica Street in Bristol to Jamaica Road in Bermondsey—a distance of approximately 146 miles, coincidentally the same as the length of Jamaica!

We are incredibly proud of Mr Collins for taking on this challenge, and we invite our school community, families, and friends to contribute. Every donation will make a real difference to those affected by Hurricane Melissa and support a charity right here in Southwark.
