Our goal is to build desks for K-12 students who do not have the workspace to learn and work efficiently. This GoFundMe will go completely towards funding the supplies to build desks for our community. 

My name is Eric Salem. I am currently a senior at the University of South Carolina in Columbia SC. 

My friend Jonathan and I are both interested in small projects and woodworking. After the start of the coronavirus pandemic, Jonathan took off and started pumping out well built, creative wood projects for friends, family, neighbors and more.

After working with Jonathan myself on a project, we realized how enjoyable it was to work as a team. We are both members at a local church in Downtown Columbia whose mission statement is "Jesus centered - Family - On mission". We believe that during these trying times, it is important to love on our local community of Columbia SC. With some schools offering online school, many students are left without a workplace at home. 

Our goal is to build desks for K-12 students who do not have the workspace to learn and work efficiently. This GoFundMe will go completely towards funding the supplies to build desks for our community. 

We are estimating that each desk will cost about $50 each to build. Our goal is to build as many desks as requested. So far we have over 50 requests.
