My name is Alanna Maurin and this is my beautiful friend Cassy at my wedding in March 2014. Just six moths after this photo was taken she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, and she was expecting her first child. She underwent a mastectomy and bravely battled through 18 rounds of chemo. Her son Henry was born 7 weeks early, small but healthy. He is now an energetic and gorgeous 10 month old. Sadly, less than a year after her initial diagnoisis the cancer came back. She again bravely battled another six weeks of chemo only to be told a few weeks ago that there was nothing further that could be done for her. She has been given a minumum of six months to live. This is not enough. I am hoping to raise some money to get her treated by a clinic in Eurpoe who have had some good success with experimental treatments on people with terminal cancers. We need to buy her some more time. Please donate just a few dollars, it will all help. We need to raise at least $30 000 to pay for her treatment and to provide some money for Henry's care.
Please find it in your heart to give this young, first time mum a chance to spend some more time with her baby, a chance for her baby to remember his mummy.
If we dont manage to get her there, all funds will be put in trust for Henry.
Forever thankful,
Alanna

This is what your donations do. Every little bit helps and provide love and strength for our dear Cassy who really needs it. In Cassy's own words 'The world is getting behind me!!! I never realised how much people care, the DO care about me...I'm gonna kick cancer in the ASS I've the best cheer squad behind me!'
It is truly amazing that we have been able to raise over $5000 in just 24 hours. Please friends, if you haven't already, make a small donation or share this page to help get the word out there.
Peace and love,

This is Cassy with her loving husband Darren. He is a genuine Aussie farmer working very hard for harvest season out on their farm on the Eyre Peninsula. He commutes back and forth whenever he can to be with his wife and son
Update #4
Hi everyone ! First of all I would like to give my most sincere and heartfelt thanks on behalf of Cassy. What an amazing achievement to raise our goal in just 9 days! I saw her today and she is in great spirits and has said to let each and every one of you know that your love, support and encouragement has given her the strength and courage to fight for her life.
Now, there is a change in plans. Based on the fact that she is unable to get medical insurance to travel and that her doctor is reluctant to give her a fit to fly certificate, she won't be travelling to Europe. It is just too risky. A hospitalisation whilst abroad could end up costing hundreds of thousands of dollars.
The good news is that her doctor has been able to arrange for the treatment (immunotherapy) to be dispatched to Australia and she will be treated under his supervision here in Adelaide. This is a much better option with 10 month old Henry under her wing and husband Darren busy working the harvest on their farm. She will be underway by the end of the week! The medicine itself is the most expensive thing and without your generous support we would not be getting her started on treatment so quickly. Quicker in fact than if she was to travel! So thank you. Thank you all so very much.
If the treatment works and her health begins to improve then attending the clinic may still be an option, as may just continuing the treatment here. Whatever the case I will be sure to keep you all updated. The most important thing is that Cassy is able to now choose the best possible treatment option without having to worry about how she will finance it. This is an amazing blessing and it is thanks to all of you who have generously supported her and believed in her.
Forever thankful.
Alanna
And here are some words from Cassy:
We Can't Believe It.!.!.
