Cohen Family Needs Help After Eaton Fire
Donation protected
Hi friends, family, and maybe even strangers,
Like so many others, the Cohen family lost their family home of 21+ years in the Eaton fire when it tore through Altadena.
My sister (Jennifer Plaut Cohen), brother-in-law (Jeffrey Cohen), their two kids, and two dogs, were able to evacuate and are all safe and healthy, thank goodness. But they’re devastated and overwhelmed.
I’m reaching out now on their behalf to ask for some help in covering the myriad unexpected costs as they try to get back on their feet.
Right now, they’re scrambling to give the kids some semblance of stability. They’re working on getting a safe and secure place to stay so the kids can return to school, their friends, their routines. This is important for everyone but especially so for their son, who has autism.
They don’t know what the future holds and they’re taking everything day by day, so anything you can offer will help them get through this terrible, difficult time. These funds will assist with needs that might not be covered by other sources of aid.
I know how hard it is for them to ask for help. But if you have the means and the ability to help them get through this challenging period (and ONLY if it’s not a strain on you), they’d be immensely grateful.
Thank you for considering, and please keep yourselves safe.
