Hi, my name is DéObia Oparéi, I'm an actor, writer and award winning independent filmmaker.

I've been in a few projects as an actor and now I'm focused on bringing my own vision to the screen.

Coffee & Cake is the beginning of a series of cinematic stories theat centre non-binary characters as the lead.

Saul, non-binary, assigned male at birth, is a bipolar writer, who is in free fall after a painful breakup. The film's main themes are mental health and looking for love in all the wrong faces.,

I've dreamt of telling my own stories. This film is from a gender diverse, multi-ethnic, LGBTQIA cast and crew. .

I am excited to birth new worlds. To tell stories that invite us to imagine alternative ways of being. To question the dominant paradigms of our current existence with imaginative storytelling that invites depth, nuance and ideas for new ways of living and connecting as we travel deeper into the 21st century.
