My name is Cody Hurley. The funding I am seeking through gofundme is for the purchase of a (3D) printer and a proper facility to run them. Also for starting a non-profit business to help develop custom, one of a kind, prosthetics for the individuals specific needs. Aquiring the skilled labor to facilitate the patient/client needs will hopefully be arranged by a strong student intern and employee-based team organized by the non-profit.
Let me explain why. After my service in the US Army, I became a full time student and laboratory technician at a college in Colorado. By my graduation I coaampleted three associates degrees with a focus is on advanced manufacturing. One degree is in welding technology, one in machining technology, and one in computer-assisted drafting.
Over the last year and a half, I developed a prosthetic prototype mechanical hand which show cased my skills in design and project development. I would like to continue to design and develop prosthetic limbs for veterans and others that need individualized
prosthetics.

Being convinced that we can develop prosthetics that can be as good or even better than the hand or arm that once was our own has been my driving force. A major source of inspiration has been the robotic industry growing up and science fiction shows y youth. Having only our imagination to hold us back in this field, we can accomplish great feats of design and engineering that were once considered impossible. This may allow us to achieve extreme athleticism and strength that are far beyond the capabilities of our natural limbs. The line between robotics, animatronics, and prosthetics is growing ever thinner. By pushing these three technologies forward as one, we have the capability of placing the forefront of technology literally in the palm of our hands.
Proof of concept
