Cody Maximus

Hi there, my name is Taylor, and this fellow is Cody. Cody was hit by a car in our driveway last week chasing his ball. We rushed him to our Vet and he ended up with 72 stitches in his front legs, a dislocated left femur, and road rash all over his underside, face, and genital area. This morning, because of the reduction in swelling, his hip popped back out and he will need surgery to shave down his femur and create a new ball and socket. (F.H.O.) My mum has been a god send and comes over every other day to help change and clean his wounds and bandages, and without her I dont know how I would have been able to care for him like he needs.

I am not one to normally ask for help, and I have cried more in the past week than I have in my entire life, but I could really use some help to afford this surgery.

Those of you that know Cody know how crazy and wild he is, how he is always running after his balls and puts his all into being a proper farm dog and protector of his clan (no matter how dumb he may be). He is one of the simplest dogs I have had the pleasure of loving, and one of the most loyal. I have not had my shadow with me, and it breaks my heart everytime I have to leave him. Anything helps guys, with his emergency vet visit totaling over $1,200 and surgery being quoted for $6,000, not to mention any follow ups or care inbetween.
