We Raced Around the World for Our Mom ❤️

Help us give back to the woman who gave us everything.

Our mom, Anje Langlois, has spent her life putting her family first. As a single mother of four, she raised us with endless love, unwavering faith, and a strength that continues to inspire us every day. She was our biggest cheerleader, our safe place, and the person who taught us to keep going even when life gets hard.

Now, our mom is facing challenges that no amount of determination can simply make disappear.

She lives with persistent postural-perceptual dizziness (PPPD), a chronic neurological condition that causes ongoing dizziness and can make ordinary daily activities incredibly difficult. Things many people take for granted can become overwhelming. Even attending church, something meaningful to her, can trigger severe symptoms. Instead of sitting in the auditorium with her community, she often has to watch from a television in a separate couch area.

Watching someone who has given so much of herself face these limitations has been heartbreaking. We want to help make life a little easier, more comfortable, and full of the moments she deserves to enjoy.

Why we raced for our mom

If you watched CBS’s The Amazing Race, you may have seen my brother Cody and me competing as Team Burgundy.

But behind the travel, challenges, and chaos was a much bigger reason we wanted to be there: our mom.

She has always loved The Amazing Race, and getting to compete alongside my brother was an incredible opportunity. But for us, the million-dollar prize represented something much more meaningful than winning a competition. We dreamed of using it to help our mom have a comfortable, accessible home without the challenge of second-floor stairs and to give back to the person who sacrificed so much to raise us.

We wanted to do something extraordinary for the woman who spent her life doing extraordinary things for us.

Although our journey on the Race has ended, our desire to help our mom has not.

We are starting this fundraiser because we want to rally around our mom and help improve her quality of life. Our hope is to put these funds toward a more comfortable, accessible living situation and the support that will help make everyday life easier as she continues living with PPPD.

Our mom has spent years showing up for everyone else. Now, we want her to feel just how many people are willing to show up for her.
