Cody Jackson Memorial
If any of you see me (Ryan) on a regular basis and have the time to give me the money in person. just get in touch with me and I will do what I can to meet with you. this would bypass the gofundme fees and make sure the full donation goes to the cause.
As many of you already know, our great friend, Cody Jackson, has passed away suddenly and unexpectedly.
If you knew Cody, you'd know you couldn't throw a rock without hitting somebody he'd take a bullet for, and that person would probably take one for him too. Just about everyone in Gadsden knew him, and it was hard to know him without really loving him. And most people could tell a story or two about crashing a car into a mountain for fun or setting a couch on fire or any of the other wild stories he always managed to be a part of.
And then they'd probably say something about how he was there when they lost a loved one, had a bad breakup, or were just overcome with life and needed someone who understood and would be there to give them anything they needed, even if it was just a hug. He always gave us his time, he would always drive as far as he needed to get to us, whether we were in for a good time or a long cry.
Cody was passionate about music and games, and many of us can recall late nights jamming with him or playing video games. He loved taking photos and having great conversations. But most of all, he loved his friends and family.
Cody passed in his home on December 25, 2016, just a few days ago, at the age of 28. It was a shock to all of us. It was his wish to be cremated, and the funds from this campaign will enable his family to do so. All extra funds will go to the memorial service being held at Blackstone on Saturday, January 7, starting at 11am.
We want to send him off according to his wishes, and to remember him as he would want to be remembered. We want to celebrate his life as we mourn his passing, coming together to recount all the stories we made with him, both funny and touching. These funds will help us make that possible.
Cody meant a lot to a whole lot of people. We laughed and cried with him and made too many memories to count. He would have done anything for any of his friends or family, and often did, and now we can return the favor.
He was a great friend and human being.
We love you Cody. You will be dearly missed.
