Cody was recently diagnosed with Adenocarcinoma in his esophagus (Esophageal Cancer). He was going in for a simple procedure but turned into much more than they ever expected. The doctor noticed an area of concern and did a repeat EGD. Upon completion of the EGD, Cody and Tori were told a fear everyone has, Cody had cancer. The doctor was shocked to see it in someone so young, so quickly more scans were set up and more doctor appointments. Cody will be having a major surgery to remove part of his esophagus and stomach. They will reconstruct a new esophagus using a portion of his stomach. we just have to determine if radiation and chemo will be needed. With the surgery comes hospital stay and leaving with a feeding tube. Cody will have a few months of down time as he begins to heal.

Cody and Tori are some of the sweetest people you will ever come across, and have participated in so many fundraisers and giving to others in times of need. Now, they are the ones who could use some help in helping cover some of the expenses, because Cody is self-employed “53 Towing” and is uninsured. So all these test, visits are out of pocket, the same pocket that helps support him and his family. As with surgery and recovery comes time out from work with no income and Tori being out of work to be by his side for the recovery process, so if you can find it to help this sweet family to make things a little easier I know they would greatly appreciate it. Though they would never want you to feel obligated, I know at the same time they would be grateful for the prayers as they battle this uncharted territory.
