These two were supposed to have a beautiful Honeymoon in Mexico, but things went South quickly.
Alex became sick on the boat in Cozumel right before they docked last Tuesday. They took her to their "preferred" hospital there where they decided she had pancreatitis. Which is a lot of times solved by removing the gallbladder after you treat the pancreatitis for several days for inflammation to go away. They operated Friday afternoon and immediately began trying to force her to eat and drink which when you have pancreatitis is one of the worse things you can do. Therefore making her even sicker. They left the hospital Monday and after two hellish flights, one from Cozumel to Dallas and then Dallas to Houston. ( Cody had to take an Uber to pick up their car in Galveston) Alex called her doctor at home and he told her to get to an emergency room as soon as possible. They admitted her to the hospital again. The surgeon there stated they removed the gallbladder too soon and he believes that is what now is causing portions of her pancreas to start failing.
As I’m typing this they are still stuck in Houston with no real ETA on when they will get back home to their family, friends and beautiful daughter Sophia.
We would greatly appreciate any form of support you can offer. At this time they will most directly benefit from financial support, no matter how big or small the sum is.
If nothing else, pray for a speedy recovery for Alex and spread the word as much as possible to your friends and family.
Sincerely,
Teddy Keener
