Ever since I knew what cancer was, I always prayed that God would take the pain from of a child and give it to me because children should never have to fight this fight. I guess God listened to my prayer because after being admitted into the ER on June 15th with chest pains; tests further showed a mass in my chest wall. Abby had a laparoscopic tumor resection on July 1st to remove the whole mass and the final diagnosis was T-cell acute lymphoblastic lymphoma.  It is a form of non-Hodgkins lymphoma. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatments at Vidant Medical Center while continuing her education as a part time student at ECU.
