Code Coven needs your help to keep our Academy up and running. We deliver free game development education for indie development and job hunting success! GBP > USD Exchange Rate

Code Coven is the first global accelerator and academy dedicated to empowering marginalised game developers at all levels. Through our Academy programs, we help developers create their own games, start their own studios, and level up their skillsets and portfolios.

You may have noticed that we haven’t announced any Academy programs for 2024 and have scaled back on community support. Unfortunately, Code Coven has been affected by the challenging industry landscape. Our community needs our support now more than ever, and we want to support them as they adapt by founding new studios, developing their own games, and learning new skills. They need our help, and we need yours.

By donating to Code Coven, you are directly funding free game development education and other services that help marginalised developers succeed in the industry. Here’s what we can do with your generous donations:

£25,000: Deliver one of our Academy programs with scholarship seats and support for our community and Alumni, which includes community events, office hours, promotion, networking opportunities, and more!

£50,000: Deliver one of our Academy programs free of charge to an entire cohort of marginalised game developers and continued support for our community and Alumni.

£100,000: Deliver one of our Academy programs free of charge to marginalised game developers, scholarship seats in additional courses, and continued support for our community and Alumni.

We have a track record of success.

In 2023 alone, we:

Delivered five Academy and accelerator programs for marginalized developers.
Awarded over 140 scholarships and $200,000 in stipends to break down financial barriers.
Built a vibrant community where 63% of participants are from outside the UK, US, and Canada, 84% identify as a part of the LGBTQIA+ community, 97% are a marginalized gender, and 69% have a disability.
