Hello, friends & family!
Our sweet love, Cocobean, has endured quite the medical nightmare this past month.
On December 15th, she underwent intense abdominal surgery to remove a bleeding mass in her liver after being rushed to the ER when I found her acting unlike her normal self. We then found out it was a cancerous mass on January 2nd. Her cancer is Hemangiosarcoma, which is pretty aggressive.
Coco is only 7 years old and has so much love to give, so the doctors agreed she was a wonderful candidate for chemo to give her more time with us! She hasn’t had any new masses grow yet on her scans, and we started IV chemo on 1/8.
Unfortunately, she had a very unusual reaction and had a GI upset so bad that I rushed her back to the hospital the next morning, and they had to clear her stomach out. She was in hypovolemic shock from her belly not draining properly.
This has been a true nightmare, and the future is very uncertain, but I’m doing everything I can to help sweet Coco. The medical bills have surpassed $40,000 with all of these added together within less than a month, which has been challenging for me as they have to be paid upfront to get serviced. She will need further assistance going forward and is still recovering from her severe GI upset, which is called Acute Hemorrhagic Diarrhea Syndrome (AHDS).
I have a very hard time asking for help and accepting help, but I have to try. Thank you for any dime you give, and please don’t feel obligated! If you don’t mind sharing this with any friends, family, or animal lovers, that would mean the world. Thank you so much.
Please keep Coco in your thoughts as she still has a long way to go, and we’re not sure if she’ll be able to continue any type of chemo, so praying for a miracle for babygirl!
Thank you all for the continued love and support. It means the world to us.
