Update on my sweet Coconut R.I.P. my girl

Donation protected
Godspeed my sweet precious girl. I had my earthly birthday and you had your heavenly birthday today. My heart is so broken, but I know you are not suffering. Thank you for blessing my life and for those who got to know and love you. I am so honored and grateful for the time we have had together. I miss you my sweet little one. Turns out, not only did she have a massive kidney stone, stones that floated to her bladder, after relooking at her ex rays , she had spontaneous feature to her hip which had an old injury before we adopted each other.
Thanks to all of you who donated. The vet bills are so expensive and I truly appreciate from the bottom of my heart any prayer, good vibe, or donation sent my way. Coconut was a very special girl and I miss her so much already.

This is my sweet friend Coconut. We adopted each other during the midst of Covid. I was not expecting to adopt her that day, but when I met her, she was very sick. In fact, I thought she died in my lap. After she moved, I asked the family if I could just take her, and they said “yes.” I took her immediately to a vet. She was given an IV and I was told, if she survived the night, she might live. That was in 2020. I was told she was around 5 years old and had been spayed. She was not spayed and I really don’t know how old she is, however I know she is a more mature bunny, like her mom. When I took her for the emergency visit, they did do an X-ray and found she had either a deformed or previously healed injured hip joint, but that did not stop her. Recently, I had to take her back to the vet. Not for her bad hip and leg, but her good leg. Her leg stopped functioning. I thought she had broken her leg. She was scooting with her legs flaccid and going in circles! You can imagine how heartbroken I was and am. She definitely has pain, so I handle her minimally and with kid gloves. I do have pain meds for her.

The vet took two X-rays and found a massive kidney stone, but her hips did not seem fractured, nor did he see a fracture in her good leg. I have to take her to an exotic vet to help figure out what is going on.

Our first bill was almost $900.00. I expect the next vet will be around the same. Both Coconut and I will have to possibly make a decision I don’t want to have to make, but I don’t want her to suffer if the exotic vet can’t help. Right now, she is eating well and her digestion is good at this point. Sometimes she can sit up, other times she cannot. She still gets around, just a little. Her blood work looks okay, some things are just a tiny bit off.

If you can give, we would really, really appreciate it. If you do cannot or do not want give towards the bill, please pray for her healing and comfort. Coconut so deserves any prayers for healing she can get. I have been truly blessed to have her in my life. Everyone who meets her falls in love with this gentle little girl who loves snuggles and giving kisses…. I love you my sweet Cocobean
