Coby Carter is a Dispatcher with the UTS-Stephen F. Austin State University Police Department. Recently, Coby was admitted to Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas, where he underwent complex cardiac procedures.

On July 24, 2026, Coby received a Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) procedure to address his heart condition. He also received a temporary pacemaker, which doctors anticipate converting to a permanent pacemaker. Coby remains under medical care and monitoring and will face ongoing medical expenses, travel costs, and other challenges throughout his recovery.

Coby has dedicated much of his life to public service. When emergencies happened, he was the person answering the call and helping others through some of their most difficult moments. Now, it is our turn to support Coby and his family during this difficult chapter.

Contributions from this campaign will be directed through the Nacogdoches Law Enforcement Foundation (NACLEF), a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Funds raised will be administered through NACLEF’s charitable programs to assist Coby and his family with eligible expenses related to medical care, housing, transportation, and other essential needs. Assistance will be provided based on documented need and in accordance with the Foundation’s established benevolence policies.
