Coby John Dorr, fight against melanoma

Most of us in know Rene Dorr as the former Rockland Rec Director. Chances are if you or your kids grew up hanging around the rec, you probably know that running sidelines and reffing games alongside his dad, was Coby.

Coby has a lot more on his plate than your typical 23 year old. He attends Husson University, works full time between classes, and still manages to help his dad with the Thomaston Rec Department when he can. Unfortunately, recent medical diagnoses have put much of these things on the back burner.

Recently, Coby has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Melanoma cancer. Coby is strong and his family is supportive, but additional help would be appreciated.

In addition to the Rigometrics and Eclipse of the Pearl fundraisers we wanted to make another way donations could be made if people cannot attend but would still like to contribute. Coby is currently under the care of many doctors in Boston. He has undergone one surgery and countless treatments, but has his biggest surgery ahead of him. Let’s show Coby and his family the support and love they deserve.
