Dear Christian Brothers, Sisters and Friends,

Our Church, Cobb Bethel African Methodist Episcopal, was founded in 1863 and is recognized as one of the oldest AME churches in Georgia. This Church has not only served as God’s instrument to spread the Word of God for the last 161 years but has also fostered the creation of other Churches and religious groups throughout the Southwest Atlanta area.

As we continue to serve the spiritual needs of this community and to develop our community outreach programs, we are praying and planning for future growth in both these areas. To this end, we have acknowledged that there are some much needed physical and structural issues that must be addressed to continue to grow and meet our objectives.

In 2021, the Church began a three-year plan for the complete renovation of the building, and the grounds. As we move to Phase 2 of this endeavor, Cobb Bethel needs your support with financial assistance. Our goal at this time is to raise a minimum of $250,000 to complete these repairs and upgrades. A complete list of these plans is available upon request.
