W̱SÁNEĆ QELAXEṈ Needs Your Support!
W̱SÁNEĆ QELAXEṈ, a First Nations girls’ basketball team, is proudly competing in this year’s Junior All Native Basketball Tournament, taking place March 15–20. Our team is made up of dedicated athletes in grades 4–8 who work hard on and off the court—representing their community with pride, discipline, and respect.
Named after the butterfly—QELAXEṈ in SENĆOŦEN—our team symbolizes transformation. These young athletes are committed to growing their skills, challenging themselves, mentoring younger players, and shining with confidence and cultural pride. Basketball, in a safe and supportive space, becomes more than a game—it becomes healing, leadership, community, and belonging.
Travel is expensive, and we need help raising the funds required for accommodations, transportation, food, uniforms, and team gear. Every dollar goes directly toward making this opportunity possible for these athletes.
Thank you for supporting W̱SÁNEĆ QELAXEṈ and helping our players soar.
