Coastal Recovery CommUNITY
Donation protected
Hello and Thank You for taking the time to read our page.
We have worked so hard to get to this point!
We are saving lives ~ at this Very Moment...
However, we are now facing a difficult decision: work with our clients, or seek ways to pay for the electricity and food donations.
If you can help us raise $5,000, it will carry us for two months ~
Most of us have struggled or we know someone who has struggled with addiction. It is a serious disease that completely consumes the lives of individuals and families. Overdoses are sky rocketing! After many conversations with members of our community, we have taken on the huge task of opening a recovery centre to help those that wish to be helped. Coastal Recovery CommUNITY has a team of educated and passionate people that are motivated to give back and help others. Our small, intimate recovery centre accommodates four men between the ages of 18-35 years old, which allows our clients to develop strong, meaningful relationships. We are located in the seaside town of Gibsons, BC, an outdoor recreational paradise. Recovery methods include 1 on 1 weekly counselling, group therapy, meditation, healthy diet, a fitness plan and gym membership plus daily 12 Step support meetings. We support our clients in learning day to day life skills, goals and basic living and we support them with resumes, interview preparation and safe housing. An after-care program is planned so our clients can stay in touch and continue their sobriety long after they leave us.
CRC has chosen to be a Benefit Corporation rather than 'non-profit'. Benefit Corporations are mandated to 'work towards making our community a better place to live'`. Because of this decision, regular funding opportunities are not available to us. We have worked so hard to make this happen and we are So Close! We still need kitchen appliances and furniture. Donations will go towards helping us finally open our doors. We are hoping and praying to be open by early 2022 and are working around the clock to make this possible.
CRC is always seeking volunteers, so please don't hesitate to reach out to us at [email redacted]
Any donation big or small is greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
- CRC Team
