Coast to coast for cmv.
Donation protected
I will be walking the coast to coast, and will be starting this from St bee's and finishing in Robin hoods bay the walk it's self is 175 miles and I hope to do this walk in 10 -12 days wild camping all the way till the end,my springer spaniel (Hugo) will be accompanying me on this route which will take me through the lake distict, yorkshire dales and finally the North Yorkshire moors, this walk is something I've been wanting to do for a couple of years, I've a few reasons for wanting to do this walk but the main reasons are for myself I suffer with ptsd and the outdoors is we're I feel alive and comfortable, the second is my young niece ( Reenie) who was born with cmv or cytommegslovirus, its a common virus that can infect people of all ages.once cmv is in a person's body,it stays there for life.most healthy adults and children who become infected have no signs or symptoms and no long term affects from cmv.it can however pose serious risks to unborn babies if a pregnant woman catches it for the first time. Congenital cmv is when a baby has been infected before birth.it is one of the leading causes of hearing loss in children and one of the main causes of childhood disability.
