On the evening of May 6th, our church family experienced a miracle in the middle of devastation.
We had just finished our Wednesday night meal together when tornado warnings began sounding across our area. Pastor Jimmy Breazeale and several church members quickly gathered everyone from the fellowship hall into the sanctuary building to take cover. As fear and uncertainty filled the room, our church family leaned on faith we prayed then sang “Amazing Grace” together as the storm approached.
Moments later, the tornado tore through our church property. The fellowship hall and Sunday school rooms are destroyed, and the roof was ripped from the sanctuary building. The destruction is heartbreaking, but through it all, God’s hand of protection was over us. Every single person made it out safely and without injury.
While we are beyond grateful for the lives spared, our church now faces the difficult road of cleanup, repairs, and rebuilding. This church is more than a building it is a place of worship, fellowship, meals, ministry, and refuge for so many in our community.
We are asking for prayers first and foremost. If you feel led to help financially, any donation big or small will go directly toward rebuilding our church home and helping restore what was lost in the storm.
Thank you for standing with us during this incredibly difficult time. We truly believe God will bring beauty from these ashes, and we are trusting Him every step of the way.
“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” — Psalm 46:1
