Coach Pj & Sophia Mission to Belize

I'm so excited to finally embark on my second mission trip and this time I'm bringing my lovely 12-year-old daughter, Sophia. She is a natural when it comes to working with kids and I know this trip to Belize to share love and hope will stay with her for the rest of her life.
Seven years ago I went on my first mission trip with my church, Canyon Springs, lead by Jilane Hawkins to post earthquake-stricten Haiti. The initial rebuilding work we did there was hot and grueling. But I'll never forget the feeling of accomplishment when we left. I could see it all on the faces of the children and the elders as they waved goodbye to us on our buses one week later. Our first trip there laid the foundation for the many susbsequent visits by our church, which continued to improve living conditions for the children and families of Good Rest. Even to this day, thanks to the power of the Internet, I'm still in contact with children I met there over 7 years ago whom are now successful young adults.
I'm blessed once again for the opportunity to join another amazing team from Canyon Springs Church, led by Jilane Hawkins. This mission trip will take Sophia and I to Belize. Our church will be partnering with Thirst Missions and we will be following up on previous visits to the village of Progresso and La Hermosa Family of God church. We are scheduled to do construction improvements, Vacation Bible School (VBS), Mercy Ministry in homes, in the village and bringing back our "Belize Got Talent" outreach night. I will also be introducing "Belize Tiny Peoples Olympics", (just don't tell any of the local children-- it will be a surprise!)
It would be so amazing if all my family, friends and Body Evolution family could join us, because all of you are remarkable human beings with hearts of gold. I promise you that Sophia and I will represent our community with honor, respect and compassion. First and foremost, I would ask for your prayers for a successful and safe trip for the entire team.
We have two months to raise money for the mission trip that departs in the last week of July. Any contributions will be greatly appreciated but please only do so without placing any burden on yourselves.
