Coach Sonny Saye Memorial Field

We are fundraising to honor the memory of Coach Sonny Saye, with the goal of dedicating the softball field at Milton High School in his memory. Coach Saye was a longtime coach and teacher at Milton, who also served as Athletic Director while coaching six different sports during his career. In 1988, he started the inaugural softball program at Milton.

Coach Saye's contributions and dedication to student-athletes is a legendary accomplishment and our committee has worked this Summer to make this a reality, We plan to install a sign and plaque in his honor at the Milton High School softball field.

This fundraiser is to cover the cost of the sign and plaque installation. Anything raised above the cost of the signage will be donated to the Milton High School softball program in his name. There will be a field dedication on October 23 to coincide with Milton's 100th Anniversary Celebration. The fundraiser will conclude on 10/7/21. Any contribution is greatly appreciated.

The field naming committee includes: Jackie Angel, Kelly Bendall, Shane Holcombe, Van Keys, Pat Miller, Lauren Paine, Melanie Painter, Kiley Perry, Deb Schaefer, and Phil Thomas.
